I never know anymore whether to order a S or a M in Tiana B. This particular dress in M is generous on me. Also proportions for my 5 3" height is also off with the drop waist. Not thrilled with this one.

I love tiana b dresses and have many. I also love 60s mod styles. So I really looked forward to these (last season the short sleeve dress with belt in latte and black was 60s sensational but the small was too big and both colors were sold out in xsmall. Why, why, why can't you make that dress again?) I ordered both colors and couldn't wait to receive them. Well. The sleeves were too long, the hem was too long (this mod look should land above the knee otherwise it is dowdy looking) and the material was clingy. The neckline was weird with the sleeves pooching out at the shoulder. Sent both back with a heavy, heavy heart. Please Tiana, bring back the great cuts and fabrics and please please make the hemlines not so long.

With the new sizing, I used to be a medium, now I am a large. I studied the chart and ordered a black large, it is a little too big but I think the medium would be too tight. I want to wear to work, do not want it tight, with opaques and flats. I feel this dress is perfect for a funeral, I know, that's depressing, but this dress is so appropriate. It's the right lentgth, I'm 5'5" and is loose enough, and the fabric is substantial, where I do not feel naked. Some of the knits make me feel naked, ex: Carolyn Strauss, which tend to be very thin & see-thru. I plan to keep this dress.

This is just super classy - easy to wear dress. I bought the black and plan to wear with ballet flats. I am a big fan of the Tiana B. line. These are incredibly simple designs that somehow manage to make a huge statement.
